Warranty at GoRobot
Every robot we sell is brand new and covered by the 2-year legal guarantee under Cyprus and EU consumer law. If your robot turns out to have a defect during this period, we’ll make it right — repaired, replaced, or refunded, exactly as the law provides.
One thing we want to be upfront about: modern robots are complex machines, and defects are repaired by the manufacturer’s specialised service — not by third-party workshops. What we do is make that process painless for you: you send the robot to us, and we handle the entire manufacturer claim on your behalf. No foreign support lines, no shipping paperwork, no arguing your case in another language — that’s our job.
Warranty on robots, 3D printers, and other devices
What the guarantee covers
The legal guarantee covers defects — faults in the product itself that affect its function, for example:
- Motors, drive systems, pumps and cutting systems that stop working correctly
- Loss of suction or cleaning function not caused by worn or blocked consumables
- Sensor, camera and navigation failures
- Battery defects, including failure to hold a meaningful charge
- Defective docks, charging stations and internal electronics
What if your product cannot be repaired?
While we always try our best to repair your broken product, in some cases this simply isn’t possible. In these cases, your device will be exchanged for a comparable one. If no comparable device is available, you will receive a 100% refund on your purchase in the form of a voucher with GoRobot.
If the defect happens between 12 to 24 months after purchase, and you have an extended two-year warranty for your product, we will reimburse you with a voucher for 60% of the purchase price in case a repair isn’t possible.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The guarantee covers defects — not wear, accidents or misuse:
- Consumables and wear parts — brushes, filters, mop pads, cutting blades, treads and similar parts that wear by design (all available in our Accessories & Parts section)
- Normal battery ageing — lithium batteries gradually lose some capacity with use; this is normal and not a defect
- Accident damage — falls, impacts, or running over hard objects (e.g. a mower striking stones or toys left on the lawn)
- Moisture beyond design — a pool robot is built to swim; no robot is built to be stored in water, left in rain, or hosed into its electronics
- Neglect — e.g. filters never cleaned causing motor burnout, or a robot left permanently in chlorinated water or direct sun
- Unauthorised modifications — unofficial firmware or repairs/parts fitted by anyone other than the manufacturer’s authorised service
If you have a defective product
1. Contact us
If you have any problems within your warranty period, please contact our customer support immediately. This will allow us to assess the damage and decide whether it will be necessary to perform any material repairs, or if we can fix it remotely. If it’s a genuine defect, we’ll register your claim.
2. Send the product to us
If our support agents recommend sending us your product for repair, please send it to the ACS Tsiriou location for pick-up. Make sure to provide our name and phone number when sending the package. Please note that you will have to cover the shipping cost back to us.
One tip before sending: note down any custom maps, schedules and no-go zones in your app — service and replacement can reset them.
3. We process your warranty case
We handle the manufacturer process for you — we send your robot to the manufacturer’s service, manage the claim, and keep you updated. Manufacturer repairs typically take around 4 weeks including shipping.
